SOPE Events

78th ANNUAL SOPE FAMILY PICNIC:  you are invited!  Saturday, August 15, 2026, 12 noon-5 p.m. at Vasa Park on Lake Sammamish.  This longtime tradition brings together our maritime community in a way no other event does, including great food, games, and fellowship.  

Whether you’re a longtime member or new, or simply interested in meeting others in the maritime and port engineer communities, this picnic offers a relaxing opportunity to connect outside work.  Enjoy a BBQ, family-friendly games, and our popular raffle, with activities for all ages.  As always, every child in attendance will receive a prize, making this a memorable event for the whole family.

Date:  August 15 (Saturday), 2026

Time:  11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission: $20 per person (15 years old, and younger, FREE)

Group Rate:  $15 per adult with RSVP for groups of 10 or more

Time:  5:00 to 7:30 pm (Check In/ Networking 5-5:45, Dinner 5:45-6:15, Presentation 6:15-7:00, 7-7:30 questions/discussion follow with raffles/prizes and additional networking opportunities)
